Low Carb Banana Waffles Recipe
These low carb banana waffles are a great recipe for those looking for a Sunday treat. Do not be concerned, your health and fitness goals will not go out the window with this recipe. Not only is it low carb, but there is a lot of fibre, good fats, vitamins and minerals. Made in minutes, you will be sitting down to a Sunday brunch feeling like this treat is well worth it.
Prep time: 10 mins Cooking time: 25 mins Serves: 4
Ingredients
- 1 ripe banana
- 4 eggs
- ¾ cup almond flour
- ¾ cup coconut milk
- 1 tbsp ground psyllium husk powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Method
- Mix all of the ingredients together and let sit for a while.
- On a low heat frying pan, pour mixture on and flip after 2 mins.
- Repeat until all of the mixture is used
- Serve with hazelnut spread or whipped coconut cream and some fresh berries
