Below is a detailed run through about what happens when you start your personal training journey at Authentic Personal Training.

 


Step 1 – Studio Tour & Introduction

 

Our first step of the process is organising a time for you to catch up in the studio. It is an obligation free opportunity to see the studio firsthand and get a feel for the space. We will give you a tour, run you through how we do things a bit differently from others and how we help our members get their results.

We will also sit down and make sure we take the time to understand exactly how we can support you best. It is really important for us to ensure that we have a complete picture of what you are looking to achieve so that we can help you map a path forward. We will run through membership options and find the best one that suits your long-term chance of success.

Step 2 – Goal Planning Session

 

Once you become a member of our studio, and before you exercise, we want to make sure that we take the time to sit down with you and create a plan of attack.

This 60 minute 1-1 session with your trainer will allow you both to get on the same page regarding your:

  • goals
  • what you have done in the past
  • what the future looks like
  • your everyday life
  • nutrition
  • and everything else that we can help you with

You will also run through a detailed health history, body composition scan and detailed goal setting process.

It is our aim to use this session to create a tangible plan from day 1 so you know exactly what success is. It is this session that sets us up for success.

 


Step 3 – Exercise Begins

 

From there, your exercise journey begins. You should not be walking into your first session feeling like you need to prove anything. You will not be thrown into a hard workout just for the sake of it, and you should definitely not feel like you need to be at a certain level before you even begin.

Your trainer will have taken the time to sit down and write you a program that will get you results and set you up for success.

From there, how often you train becomes an important part of building momentum: how often you should do personal training.

It is not an easy thing to do, but our experience allows us to feel incredibly confident in our ability to get you the results you are after.

 


What happens after your first few sessions

 

After that…

It is just about building some consistency, understanding what you are doing, and starting to feel a bit more comfortable in the environment. That is where confidence starts to build. And once that confidence is there, everything else tends to follow.
