Healthy Chicken Wrap Recipe

 

This healthy chicken wrap recipe is perfect for a quick and easy lunch. Taking only minutes to prepare and giving you enough servings to last most of the week, it is a great example of healthy done right. Feel free to add as many extra veggies or salad options in there as you would like. You also do not need to heat it or put it in a sandwich press until you want to eat it, if at all. Simply prep and eat and you will be good to go!

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts, cooked and sliced
  • 6 mountain bread wraps
  • 3 cups lettuce, chopped
  • 1 large tomato, diced
  • 1 avocado diced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cups low fat cheddar cheese, grated

 

Method

  1. Start with prepping all the ingredients: Slice cooked or grilled chicken, chop lettuce, tomatoes, and avocado, and grate sharp cheddar.
  2. Put mountain bread on a plate, layer with about ½ cup chopped lettuce, ¼ cup tomatoes, avocado, a tablespoon sour cream, few slices of grilled chicken, and top with cup grated sharp cheddar.
  3. Wrap them like an envelope. Repeat the same with the rest of the ingredients.
  4. Preheat a pan on medium high heat (you DON’T need to grease it with oil). Place the wraps with edges down and grill for a couple of minutes, until brown/golden colour, then flip and grill on the other side.
