Berry banana smoothie

Perfect as a quick breakfast on the run if you are short of time.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or water

  • 1 scoop vanilla or chocolate protein powder of your choice

  • ½ banana

  • ½ cup blueberries or mixed berries

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients in blender, and mix until smooth.

Breakfast recipe ideas are very easy to come across, but the key is to find one that you enjoy and is also in line with your goals.

Mini egg frittatas

A batch of these will last you almost a week, it also helps that they are delicious!

Ingredients

  • 12 x eggs

  • 500gm shaved leg ham/smoked salmon

  • 200gm chopped mushroom

  • 1 x chopped spring onion/ chopped baby spinach

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

  2. Place leg ham/smoked salmon, mushroom and spring onion/baby spinach evenly over 12 x patty cakes in muffin baking tin. (Alternatively use silicon patty cakes for zero sticking).

  3. Whisk 12 eggs in bowl and cover all 12 individual portions with mixture.

  4. Bake in oven for 15 minutes or until cooked!
